A little about the instructor:

Thank you for considering Cindy Wold & Stormy Acre Ranch for your riding lesson needs. It can be overwhelming to know who to go to for riding lessons or who to turn to for help with your horse. A little background on me, I first starting giving lessons back in the early '90's mostly because friends and family members needed help with their horses. My lessons really took off when I was prompted by a local professional stating there was a great need for lessons in the area and not alot of instructors. So I started with a few clients a week which then progressed into a full time weekly lesson program traveling around to various stables in the south metro. During those years I enjoyed seeing my students grow and learn about their horses and riding, and some even going on to show local and AQHA shows. I enjoy working with people who are new to horses or maybe are just getting back into horses after years off or working with people who have confidence issues they need to work through.

My early years:
I started riding myself I think when I was still in diapers! lol My mother would throw me on the pony and lead me around, when I got older I would ride double with her or my father.  When I was old enough I was riding by myself on my pony. When I outgrew the pony I moved on up to a 16hh rescue mare named Stormy. I learned alot from just riding and making mistakes. I also read any and all riding material I could get ahold of. In my early 20's I went to as many "clinic's" as I could afford. And finally had "real" lessons myself in my 20's and 30's mostly learning the "valuable" information from a dressage trainer who I worked closely with for a few years. I'm still a western rider at heart but I love what classical dressage has taught me and how it progressed me in my riding all those years ago!

The majority of the pictures on this site are either of my students or of my nieces riding and having fun on their horses. Excuse the pictures of my nieces NOT wearing long pants. They often come over to play and hop on the horses. Growing up with horses this has become a common place although risky if something were to happen, this is what these kids have done since day 1. So excuse the lack of pants and lack of safety. When they are your own kids they NEVER listen! lol
